Frontline Ambulance Service

Our front-line ambulances are staffed and equipped to full advanced life support level and are staffed by qualified ambulance technicians, as well as HPC Registered Paramedics.
These vehicles are used for our ICU/ITU transfers between hospitals, emergency front-line work for the NHS, and much more. Some of the skills of our staff on our front-line vehicles include:

• Oxygen administration
• Intravenous cannulation
• ECG diagnosis
• Manual Defibrillation
• Administration of various medications
• Trauma management
• Intubation
• Setting up and monitoring syringe drivers and infusion pumps

Intensive Care ITU Transfer Service

Intensive care transfers are often critical, complex and not without risk. We understand that in an emergency situation, an ambulance is required immediately and we will respond appropriately whenever able to do so.

We provide the following as part of our service:

• Availibility
• Reliability
• We will wait during preparation
• We will wait during handover
• We will return medical staff to their units

In the case of pre-timed transfers, we understand that precise timing is of the essence and we will attend at the precise time required; we will not divert the ambulance elsewhere while it is en-route to your facility.
We will also wait for any accompanying staff to hand-over and return them to their facility, thereby minimising their time away from their unit.

Due to the clinical competence of our ALS staff, ICU units are often confident for us to transfer the patient without escort, thus avoiding the need for any medical staff to leave their unit.
